According to Healthgrades America’s 250 Best Hospitals, Los Robles Regional Medical Center, located in Thousand Oaks, CA, is one of the top 250 hospitals in the nation. Los Robles ranks among 32 other California hospitals that also rank within the top 250.
Every year, Healthgrades releases its list of top hospitals in the nation in order to help consumers evaluate and compare hospital performance specific to specialty service lines and specialty focus areas. Healthgrades communicates performance in two ways, through ratings, and awards.
Healthgrades utilized Medicare inpatient data obtained from the Medicare Provider Analysis and Review (MedPAR) file, which was procured from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) covering the years 2020 through 2022. This data was employed to assess performance and appraise hospitals for their overall clinical excellence.
The Healthgrades America’s 250 Best Hospitals Award acknowledges hospitals that demonstrate outstanding performance in delivering care for various conditions and procedures across multiple specialty lines and areas. This prestigious award is bestowed upon the top 5% of hospitals in the nation, highlighting their exceptional clinical excellence. While numerous hospitals excel in specific areas of expertise with high-quality outcomes, recipients of this award stand out for providing comprehensive high-quality care across a spectrum of clinical areas.
A number of other local hospitals made the cut this year, including Cedars – Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood, Northridge Hospital Medical Center in Northridge, Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, and West Hills Hospital & Medical Center in West Hills.
