They offer a variety of art classes in drawing and painting in Thousand Oaks that encourage the unique creativity of each student. They don't involve watching videos, or reading books beforehand, so students can jump right in and start creating. There are no set class times, so it is the most flexible school in Thousand Oaks, and a single teacher never has more than 2 or 3 students at a time, so each artist gets plenty of personal attention. The best part about Art is Our Passion, is that the first class is absolutely free, so you can try it out without any obligation.

The Arterie

First opened in 2013, The Arterie is your friendly neighborhood art studio, offering process-based, fine art instruction for both children and adults. In addition, they offer open studio for toddlers, paint night workshops, art camps, and parties. Classes are taught by Cara Franke, who has over 14 years of teaching experience. Her knowledge and experience in fine art coupled with her diverse interests allow students the opportunities to grow as artists.


Unlike the other art classes in Thousand Oaks, CReATE STUDIO does not have a physical location. It is Thousand Oaks first mobile, Pop-up studio. Jemma, who is the owner and instructor, offers enrichment classes at schools, through the Conejo Valley Parks and Rec, private art and sewing classes, as well as birthday parties. The STUDIO was launched to offer a means to connect with that aspect of ourselves and to share it with others in a setting where everyone is WOW worthy!

The studio offers a huge array of different types of art instruction. Since 2000, Clay Studio & Gallery Inc has offered professional pottery lessons for all ages and levels. Take a class and have fun learning how to “throw” on a pottery wheel and/or  learn how to “hand build” with clay. The classes are taught in a fun, non-competitive, supportive atmosphere.
